This is a doggie which I saw taking part in the dog competition.Nice and cute and I like it’s eyes looking alert and fierce.

“Never shoot towards the light.” We’ve probably all heard this old photography “rule,” but, for now, let’s treat it more as a general guideline. If you want to shoot some photos that really pop, that really jump out and grab you—shoot towards the light.

This photo was taken in Tanah Rata, Cameron Highland. The weather suddenly turned into cloudy under the afternoon sun. Using a telephoto zoom Canon 70-200mm F2.8. and I captured this photo and turned it into grey with Photoshop.

Silhouettes are photos where your subject is dark against a bright background. Using a sunrise or sunset as the backdrop for your subject can give stunning results—your subject becomes a bold black figure against a canvas of bright and vivid color.

When you use a bright and cloud filled sky as your background, your subject often doesn’t come out pure black, but comes across as dark and moody against a brooding sky

The workers are busy in the back lane to slaughter the ducks, preparing to make roster ducks for sale at the open wet market.

You can see the feather of the ducks sticked on the wall when the worker put the ducks into the machine.

Customers are used to the scene everyday. Many of the house wives have no complains as they need their services.

The photo was taken in the morning at Jalan Pudu open wet market.

Is this a Olive-backed Sunbird ?

I am not sure the name of this little colorful bird but it looks like Olive-backed Sunbird and the photo was taken at the Cactus Point in Cameron Highlands. This little bird has a different color of underparts which are ususally bright yellow but is white.

The Olive-backed Sunbirds are small songbirds, at most 12cm long. The underparts of both male and female are bright yellow, the backs are a dull brown color. The forehead, throat and upper breast of the adult male is a dark, metallic blue-black.

The sunbirds are a group of very small birds which feed largely on nectar, although they will also take insects, especially when feeding young. Their flight is fast and direct on their short wings. Most species can take nectar by hovering, but usually perch to feed most of the time.

Tigers can swim and they are strong swimmers. Among the big cats (generally refer to the tiger, lion, leopard, and jaguar ) only the tiger and jaguar are strong swimmers.

These animals will cool their bodies in the hot afternoon sun and they are often found bathing in ponds, lakes and rivers.

The picture was taken in the Zoo Negara with a canon 70-200mm F2.8 telephoto lens.

After feeding, the lake birds are having some fun playing together. The two painted storks and the white pelican challenge each others who can run faster.

Give Me A Kiss Please!

These lovely chimpanzees were a couple holding each others and were caught in kissing at the Ape Center. There are three chimpanzees in the Zoo Negara, two males and one females.

The other male was just sitting there quietly without disturbing the couple who were in courtship. He knows how to confine himself as it’s opponent has captured the heart of the female chimp already

The Flower and The Bee

It was just like the movie The beauty and the beast, they love each other. The flowers need the bees so that they can bring their pollens for cross pollination. The bees visit the flowers to collect pollen and nectar for food for themselves and their young.

A Friendly and well groomed Dog

A friendly and well groomed dog taken during a dog competition. It was just merely a competition of doggies based on their obedience, ablility to follow the commands set by the tester. The dog owners will show the signal and command their dogs to follow.

ITALIAN hotshot Valentino Rossi romped to his ninth win of the season in stylish fashion by pulling away from the clutches of pole-sitter Dani Pedrosa halfway into the MotoGP race of the Polini Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang Circuit.

The Yamaha-powered Rossi, who secured his sixth world title in the premier class at the Japanese GP two races back, started from second on the grid but held onto the tail of Pedrosa’s Honda as his rival attempted to make an early breakaway.

It was on lap 10 when Rossi successfully overtook the Spaniard and went on to establish his own advantage.
